By 1802, Elisha Baker had left Greene County and established himself in Missouri, at Little Rock Creek, District of St. Louis — his first documented Missouri settlement, a year before his better-known Bellevue, Ste. Genevieve settlement begun in fall 1803.
Little Rock Creek was quitclaimed away to Jeduthan Kendall in 1812, while Bellevue became the family's lasting home until its own sale in 1816.
One continuous line
Taken together with the Greene County grants, this traces a single continuous line: from an original 1787 tract at the Holston/French Broad confluence, through a 1793 expansion along Long Creek, to a 1802 arrival in Missouri and, by 1803, the Bellevue settlement that would remain the family home for over a decade.
