Bounty Land Warrant Notes
This scan carries two small handwritten internal notes, clipped together, concerning Elias Roberts' Bounty Land warrants rather than his pension itself. An undated first note, addressed to "Harry," explains that Roberts received Scrip Certificate #14 for $25 in lieu of 40 acres of land, under Warrants No. 915-11-12-1855 and 484-40-1855 — 40 acres more than he was actually entitled to. A second note, dated January 23, 1891 and signed "Vincent," recommends formally rejecting any further claim on grounds of the prior issue and instructs that the clipped notes be consolidated and kept in the case file.
