Results: WikiTree (Henson-1447) lists William Henson (1730-abt. 1794) and cites the 1790 census at Rutherford, North Carolina; FamilySearch lists William Henson Sr. (1730-1796), born about 1730 in England, son of Daniel F. Henson, married Mary Ann Nancy Bobbitt in 1754 in Surry, Virginia; a Google Books Henson family history says William Henson Sr. (ca. 1725-1794) served in the Revolutionary War and moved from Virginia to Rutherford County, North Carolina; a Genealogy.com Robert T. Ray user tree notes service in the Albemarle County colonial militia 1755-1758. CONFLICT: death about 1794 (this tree, WikiTree, the book) versus 1796 (FamilySearch, a Genealogy.com Henson forum post). His birth place "Rippoden, Yorkshire" (probably Ripponden) appears only on this site while FamilySearch says only "England"; left as written. Pages seen as snippets only.
