Research log, 2 Oct 2026: Google search "Jesse Calloway Henson" OR "Jesse C. Henson" 1900 Wayne County Illinois Civil War Harrell Cemetery: nothing about him (only a Henson cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois and unrelated Hensons). The earlier clean-up of this profile (see the before/after page) is unchanged. The record carries a military start event 23 Aug 1861 at Grayville, Illinois (cites source S13), a military end event 21 Oct 1863, an "Event-Misc" 18 Feb 1884, a 1850 census in Jackson County, burial at Harrells Cemetery, Wayne County on 17 Aug 1900 and death 16 Aug 1900 (no place). The empty source wrapper event repeated the S13 citation already on the military start event, so removing it loses no source. Flags: birth about 1841 in Wayne County, Illinois but a father (I206) recorded as dying "after 1846" in Warren County, Kentucky; the Grayville enlistment and a service record (e.g. NARA Illinois Civil War regiment rosters or Fold3) could confirm service. Unsourced beyond S13, grade D. |
