Note

"Itotane / O'Totan / Itolane" appears to be an epithet of the O'Cullanes of Kilmaloda ("Teige McDonogh ... Itolane" of Kilmaloda, fiant 6515, 1601). If so, Mahon and his brothers Daniel and Dermod McTeige were O'Cullanes, sons of Teige (grade C+). Daniel McTeige O'Totan was with McCarthy Reagh at Kilvarrig, Whitsun 1642 (MS 826 fol. 33r).
