Note: Google search: "Nellie Post" Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, 1879; Post family of Mendocino County. Unsourced, grade D. Google search: "Nellie Post" Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, 1879; Post family of Mendocino County. Unsourced, grade D. No outside record found. Birth place Ft. Bragg written out as Fort Bragg. The note from grandma Holman gives a different birth place, "Kebesilla", which has not been identified (Cahto/Laytonville and Upper Lake area names are possibilities). Removed a stray "Y" note from the death event. Later search: FamilySearch Family Tree, Henry Dunham Post (KTZV-P3W; 31 attached sources including the 1870 census and Find a Grave) lists Mary Ellen Post, 1879-1977, and Minnie Louisa Post, 1879-1950, both born 1879; Minnie (I253) has the same birth date, 27 Aug 1879, so they were probably twins. "Kebesilla" is Kibesillah, a former coastal town south of Westport, Mendocino County. Death 1977 is from a compiled tree only and is not entered. Grade C. |
