No outside record found. The Old Soldiers Home at Santa Monica was the Pacific Branch of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers (later Sawtelle; now the West Los Angeles VA). Residents who died there were buried in its cemetery, now Los Angeles National Cemetery, so his burial is probably there; this would also mean he was a Union Civil War veteran. Not yet checked against the Home's registers or the national cemetery gravesite locator.

Questions: birth date has no year; "New Hebron" may be Hebron, Tolland County, Connecticut; given name "Henery" is probably Henry.

Later search: FamilySearch Family Tree, Henry Dunham Post (KTZV-P3W; 31 attached sources including the 1870 census and Find a Grave) gives Henry Dunham Post, born 8 Jan 1832 at Hebron, Tolland County, Connecticut, son of Asahel Post and Anna Dunham; married Clara Lucinda Meech 23 Nov 1867 in Michigan; at Kawkawlin, Bay County, Michigan in 1870 and Tenmile, Tehama County, California in 1880; died 25 Mar 1903 at Santa Monica and buried there. Birth year 1832 and the place Hebron, Tolland County, added. Sourced, grade C.
