The blog gives Bowater Jackson, born 1 Apr 1783 in Surry County, fourth child of Curtis Jackson and Ruth Beals; married "Jinny Mace", aged 21, on 10 Apr 1810 in Stokes County, North Carolina (marriage bond); disowned by the Quakers on 4 Jun 1810 for marrying out of unity. Birth date agrees with this record; the blog places the birth in Surry County rather than Guilford.

CONFLICT: marriage 10 Apr 1810, Stokes County (marriage bond per the blog) versus 1826 (F88). Left as recorded. Dates rewritten in standard form; "Hamilton, Indiana" read as Hamilton County.

Later search: Will of Bowater Jackson, dated 6 Oct 1846, proved 15 Dec 1846, Hamilton County, Indiana, Will Record C, pp. 75-76 (abstract on "Those Three Bingham Kids"). It names the children Nathan H. Jackson, Eliza Fleniken, George W. Jackson, Jesse F. Jackson, Phebe Cook, Mary Jane and Caroline Jackson (unmarried), and minor children Joel, Susannah and John; executors George W. and Jesse F. Jackson. The same page says the family left Guilford County, North Carolina, shortly after 1819, was at Cahaba, Dallas County, Alabama by the 1820 census (first deed 1828), began selling up in 1834, and was in Hamilton Township (Westfield), Hamilton County, Indiana by the 1840 census. Will and probate added. The page says he was 63 when he made the will, which agrees with birth in 1783. Grade B.
