FamilySearch: born 10 Feb 1654 (1654/5) at Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, son of John Bowater Sr. and Anne Carter; married Sarah Edge at Chester, Pennsylvania, in 1686 (WikiTree and Find a Grave: 4 Oct 1686 at Chester Monthly Meeting; FamilySearch: 4 Jan 1686); died 16 Nov 1705 at Chester, Pennsylvania. Their daughter Sarah was born 17 Aug 1688, and the RootsWeb Beals page says Thomas was named as her father on her 1711 marriage certificate. CONFLICT: this record gives death "Oct 1686, Guilford, North Carolina". Guilford County did not exist until 1771, and Thomas was alive in Pennsylvania until about 1705. October 1686 is the month of his marriage, so the marriage date was probably entered as his death. Left as recorded. Birth place "Bromgrove" spelled Bromsgrove.
