Research log, 7 Oct 2026: Entered from The Cork Remembrancer, entry for 1740, checked against the scans of Fitzgerald 1783 (pp. 158-159, full entry) and Edwards 1792 (pp. 150-151, abridged). Searched Google, the Internet Archive and the Irish House of Commons transportation returns 1737-1743 (Ulster Ancestry transcription) for other records of this person: nothing found beyond the Remembrancer. The Remembrancer also records a John Fowloe in 1746 (stealing wearing apparel from Jeremiah Leary); no link shown. Birth date and place are estimates. Sourced, grade C (one printed compilation published 43 years after the event; Edwards copies Fitzgerald; no archival reference given). |
