Note: Revised 8 Oct 2026: his brother John McDaniel Hurley of Enniskeane was "aged about 64" in April 1654 (stated in three separate examinations), so born c. 1590; Daniel Oge was of the same generation (c. 1585-1595). He had an adult son, Dermod, by 1642. (Earlier estimate: BEF 1621.)

Identification (grade B): Daniel McDaniel McFinin's deposition names "John mc Daniel Hurly, brother to Daniell og Hurly", and Daniel Oge ("young Daniel") implies a father Daniel. The McDaniel patronymic of John confirms the father's name.
