Sourced, grade C. Wadhams Genealogy (1913), p. 63, lists the children of Asahel Post and Anna Dunham as "(1) Samantha Post; (2) Julia Post; (3) Celia Post; (4) Maria Post; (5) Electa Post; (6) Sarilla Post; (7) Henry Post; (8) Hiram Post." Sourced, grade C. The book lists one "Maria"; this tree has two daughters named Mariva, one who died as an infant (this record) and one who married Austin Root (I263). A later child given the name of one who died young is common; the spelling Mariva versus Maria is unresolved. FamilySearch lists the children of Asahel Post and Anna Dunham as: Anna Samantha (about 1808), Julia M. (1809-1891), Welthy L. (1814-1825), Celia H. (1814), Betsey M. (1816-1819), Betsy Mariva (1819-1880), Electa C. (1821-1823), Electa C. (1824-1877), Sarilla L. (1827-1877), Henry Dunham (1832-1903) and Hiram N. (1835). The child who died young is probably Betsey M. Post (1816-1819); the next daughter, Betsy Mariva (1819-1880), is probably I263. |
