Research log, 2 Oct 2026: Google search "Myron Dains" 1852 1881 Athens County Ohio. Results: the compiled "Descendants of Abraham Dains" (Genealogy.com, Robert O. Dean) gives birth 1852 at Lodi Twp., Athens Co. and his marriage to Margaret Dalton; the Dalton Data Bank Ohio marriage index lists Margaret Dalton (age 21) and Myron Dains on Oct. 21, 1871, matching the 21 Oct 1871 marriage on F31. The death date 20 Aug 1881 was not seen outside this site; the same Genealogy.com list gives both Nona (b. 31 Mar 1881) and Quince A. (b. 27 Sep 1881) as children, which cannot both be right for one mother; see I77. Correction added 2 Oct 2026 to my earlier remark about a posthumous birth. Pages not opened in full. Unsourced, grade B for birth place and marriage (a compiled tree plus an index); death date grade D. |
