Note
|
Research log, 2 Oct 2026: Google search "George Sargent" 1793 1869 Meigs County Ohio Bedford Township Sarah. Result: a Geni profile "George Sargent (1793 - 1869)", husband of Sarah Sargent, with death Aug 3 1869 at Bedford Township, Meigs County, Ohio, matching this record (Geni is a user-contributed tree and may derive from the same compiled lines; snippet only). Flag: the note says "In 1873, George ... bought land", but he died in 1869, so the year is a typo; I154's note says George came to Athens County about 1837, so 1873 is likely 1837 transposed (correction added 2 Oct 2026); left as written. He is the father of Nancy Sargent (I5) via F7. Place names now end in ", United States". Unsourced, grade C. |
