RESEARCH NOTE. His mother is not known: placed in a family with his father only. He may be the "Randal Hurley of Beallana-Carigy" who married Hellen FitzGerald, widow of Gerald 19th Lord Kingsale, after 1642 (Lodge, Peerage VI, p. 154) - not linked. Later: "Angelina, daughter of Randal Oge Hurley of Ballinacarriga Castle", wife of Cormac MacCarthy Glas (memorial tablet, Dunmanway; MacCarthy Glas 1867), belongs to about 1700, a generation or two later; her father is not identified. |
